FIGHTING TIGER WEEKLY RECAP 3/31/08

The Fighting Tiger men’s outdoor track & field team posted 10 NJCAA Division III National Championship Qualifying Standard meeting performances on Saturday at the 2008 Dick Shea Invitational hosted by the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. Freshman Brad Boice, Cambridge, NY, Cambridge High School, won the 400 Meter Dash garnering the highest finish of any junior college athlete competing at the invitational by meeting the national qualifying standard with a time of 51.87 seconds.

The Cobleskill women’s outdoor track & field team turned in seven NJCAA Division III National Championship Qualifying Standard meeting performances on Saturday at the 2008 Dick Shea Invitational hosted by the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. Senior NJCAA All-American multi-event performer Jennifer Villanova, Clifton Park, NY, Shenendehowa High School, turned in the team’s best individual performance of the meet by placing sixth in the Triple Jump meeting the NJCAA National qualifying standard with a mark of 4.91 meters.
