FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL DROPS DOUBLEHEADER TO HUDSON VALLEY

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s baseball team experienced a “Blue Monday” at Fighting Tiger Field today falling to visiting Mountain Valley Conference rival Hudson Valley Community College by scores of 14-0 and 11-1. The defeats drop the Fighting Tiger overall record to 9-22 on the season with a 2-8 mark versus league competition.

Senior second baseman Brett Wrixon, Kingston, NY, Kingston High School, hit safely in both contests for Cobleskill going 2-for-5 on the day while freshman catcher Casey Nacarlo, West Babylon, NY, West Babylon High School, drove in the Fighting Tigers lone run of the day in the fourth inning of the second game with a single. Nacarlo finished the game going 1-for-3 at the plate.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday May 2nd when they travel to Schenectady, NY, to meet Schenectady Community College in Mountain Valley Conference action beginning at 2:00 PM.
