FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL AWARD FORFEITS VERSUS ADIRONDACK COMMUNITY COLLEGE
The Adirondack Community College Athletic Department has notified that the college’s baseball program is forfeiting its Mountain Valley Conference victories of April 11th to SUNY Cobleskill due to the use of an ineligible player. The Timberwolves had won both ends of the league doubleheader by scores of 11-2 and 8-3 when the games were originally played.
The games will be recorded officially as 7-0 victories for SUNY Cobleskill with a notation of forfeit on the final season records of each program according to NJCAA Baseball Rules. As direct result of these forfeits the Fighting Tigers season record is now 11-20 overall on the year with a 4-6 record versus Mountain Valley Conference competition. For post-season consideration the SUNY Cobleskill Region III Division III record is now 7-7 on the year.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday May 2nd when they travel to Schenectady, NY for a Mountain Valley Conference doubleheader versus the Royals of Schenectady Community College at 2:00 PM. |
