FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL CLOSES SEASON WITH 13-4 LOSS TO CGCC

The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team closed the 2007 season by dropping a 13-4 decision to visiting Columbia-Greene Community College in Mountain Valley Conference play at Fighting Tiger Field on Friday afternoon. The lose closes the Fighting Tigers’ campaign with a 11-25 record on the season with a 4-11 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play.

Senior centerfielder Ryan Rockefeller, Bolivar, NY, Bolivar-Richburg High School, went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases in his last home appearance while senior first baseman Jon Wallace, Avoca, NY, Avoca High School, went 1-for-3 on the season with a double and two RBI on the day for Cobleskill. Senior second baseman Brett Wrixon, Kingston, NY, Kingston High School, also made the most of his final Fighting Tiger home game going 3-for-4 with a stolen base on the afternoon.
