FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL DROPS 9-5 DECISION TO PSU-BRANDYWINE
The SUNY Cobleskill men’s baseball team dropped a 9-5 nine-inning decision to Penn State University-Brandywine in Port Charlotte, FL yesterday. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers overall record to 3-2 on the season to date.
The Fighting Tigers gave up three runs in the top of the second inning and were never able to take the lead despite some late offensive heroics. Senior outfielder Tristan Massalay-Ellis, Flushing, NY, John Bowne High School, went 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI for Cobleskill while senior first baseman Matt Hansen, Southold, NY, Southold High School, also was two-for-four on the day with a pair of singles in the contest.
The Orange & Black will take Wednesday off before returning to the diamond to face NJCAA Division II Sussex Community College from Newton, NJ at 1:00 PM in Port Charlotte, FL. |
