FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL SWEPT BY HERKIMER IN MVC PLAY

The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team dropped at pair of Mountain Valley Conference games to the Generals of Herkimer Community College in Herkimer, NY on Thursday by scores of 7-1 and 21-7. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers to 10-11 overall on the season with a 5-3 record versus conference opponents.

Senior third baseman Nick Poleto, Albany, NY, Colonie High School, went 2-for-3 in the nightcap for the Fighting Tigers with an RBI while freshman catcher Nate Shelton, Walton, NY, Walton High School, went 1-for-3 with an RBI in the contest.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Friday April 18th when they travel to Troy, NY to meet the Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College for a pair of Mountain Valley Conference games beginning at 3:00 PM.
