PESCA NAMED SUNY COBLESKILL 2004 BASEBALL TEAM MVP
Senior first baseman Paul Pesca, Mastic, NY, Center Moriches High School, has been named the SUNY Cobleskill baseball team’s 2004 Most Valuable Player. Pesca was presented his award by Fighting Tiger Head Baseball Coach Jason Trufant at the college’s annual Athletic Awards Convocation.
Pesca led the Fighting Tigers in five offensive categories this season: Batting Average, .330, Total Hits, 32, Runs Batted In, 25, Walks, 17, and On-Base Percentage, .465. Pesca also led Cobleskill in Fielding Percentage with a .982 mark.
The Mastic, NY native closes his Cobleskill as a .333 hitter and with the program’s longest recorded hitting streak of 12 games. |
