ARMSTEAD NAMED FIGHTING TIGER AHTLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Anthony Armstead, Schenectady, NY, Schenectady High School, a member of the Fighting Tiger men’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The burly 6’5” 220 lbs forward led the team to a season opening 85-58 victory over visiting Clinton Community College on Saturday afternoon in Cobleskill, NY contributing a fine all-round effort with 11 points, six rebounds, five blocked shots, three assists and two steals in the contest.

Cobleskill is next in action on Tuesday November 7th when they travel to Canandaigua, NY to meet the defending NJCAA Region III Division III Lakers of Finger Lakes Community College beginning at 7:00 PM.
