Former SUNY Cobleskill men’s basketball standout Jamael Lynch, Brooklyn, NY, Bishop Laughlin High School, has reached the NCAA Division I level as a member of the 2006-07 edition of the University of Rhode Island Rams a member of the Atlantic Ten Conference. On the season, Lynch is currently averaging 1.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.3 assists in five appearances for the Rams who are currently 11-8 overall on the year with a 4-1 record in conference play.
During his Fighting Tiger career the 6’0” combination guard earned All-NJCAA Region III and All-Mountain Valley Conference honors during his senior season which saw Cobleskill post a program best 30-6 overall mark capture the N JCAA Region III Division III Championship on their way to an NJCAA Division III “Elite Eight” appearance. The Brooklyn, NY native served as one of the Cobleskill team captains during his senior season and during his time at the college the Fighting Tigers posted an overall mark of 55-13. |
