FRANCOIS NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Stanley Francois, Suffern, NY, Suffern High School, a member of the men’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The 6’2” forward became the thirty-fifth Fighting Tiger player to score 500 career points (504) after scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds in the team’s 78-31 victory over Holyoke Community College on Tuesday and posting his third double/double of the season on Saturday in the team’s 106-70 home win over North Country Community College with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Francois also moved into sixteenth place on the Cobleskill career rebounding list with 382 to date.

The Fighting Tigers will head into the semester break with an 11-2 overall record and will return to action on Thursday January 24th when they host Mountain Valley Conference rival Columbia-Greene Community College beginning at 7:00 PM.
