FIGHTING TIGER LAX DROPS 16-8 DECISION TO CAYUGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

In the howling winds and cold temperatures of central New York the SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse team dropped a 16-8 decision to Cayuga Community College on Friday afternoon in a match played on the turf of Corcoran High School in Syracuse, NY. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers overall record to 1-5 on the year.

Freshman midfielder/attackman Matt Hughes, Wallkill, NY, Wallkill High School, celebrated his return from the injured list to score three goals and pass out two assists while freshman attackman Joe LaBadia, Bethel, CT, Bethel High School added two goals and an assist on the afternoon for the Fighting Tigers. Senior midfielder Mike Cunningham, Skaneateles, NY, Skaneateles High School, also had a fine showing with three assists in his return to his native area.

The Fighting Tigers are next scheduled to travel to Alfred, NY, to meet the Pioneers of Alfred State College on Sunday April 15th at 1:00 PM weather permitting.
