FIGHTING TIGER MEN’S LAX DROPS 19-5 DECISION TO #3 HERKIMER

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse team dropped a 19-5 Mountain Valley Conference decision on Monday evening to NJCAA number three ranked Herkimer Community College on the Generals home turf in Herkimer, NY. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-3 overall on the season with a 0-1 mark versus league competition.

Senior attackman Matt Hughes, Wallkill, NY, Wallkill High School, turned in a solid effort for Cobleskill with two goals and two assists while freshman Jake Hutchins, East Greenbush, NY, Columbia High School, added a goal and two assists in the contest. Senior midfielder Andrew Abbott, Onondaga, NY, Corcoran High School, also chipped in a goal and an assist for the Orange & Black.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday April 5th when they host the Hornets of Broome Community College in their home opener at the Cobleskill Lacrosse Complex with face-off scheduled for 1:00 PM.
