COBLESKILL LAX DROPS 16-12 DECISION TO #10 RANKED CATONSVILLE
Facing the NJCAA’s number ten ranked program the SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse team gave the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville all they could handle before dropping a 16-12 decision to the Cardinals on the hosts home turf in Catonsville, MD yesterday. The loss drops the Cobleskill overall record to 1-1 on the season.
Freshman midfielder Matt Pierce, Ogdensburg, NY, Heuvelton High School, continued his torrid scoring streak for the Fighting Tigers with four goals in the contest while senior midfielder Andrew Abbott, Onondaga, NY, Corcoran High School, senior attackman Matt Hughes, Wallkill, NY, Wallkill High School, and freshman attackman Brendan Wemssen, Seaford, NY, Seaford High School, each contributed two goals on the day. Freshman midfielder Alex Harwylkiewicz, West Babylon, NY, West Babylon High School, also contributed three assists on the afternoon for Cobleskill.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Thursday March 13th when they travel to Arnold, MD to meet the nation’s number eight ranked program the Pioneers of Anne Arundel Community College with face-off at 6:00 PM. |
