ASAY NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Gabrielle Asay, Greenfield Center, NY, a member of the women’s swimming & diving program has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

Asay led the women’s swim team to a third place finish at the Donald Macomber Starting Block Invitational on Tuesday by turning in the best individual performance of the meet winning the 200 Individual Medley, 2:30.77, the 100 Butterfly, 1:08.33, and the 100 Backstroke, 1:08.73. Over the weekend she led the Fighting Tigers to a seventh place finish at the Jamestown Community College Invitational hosted at the SUNY Cortland Natatorium in Cortland, NY on Saturday by finishing: fourth in the 100 Freestyle, 1:00.72, fifth in the 500 Freestyle, 6:02.52, and seventh in the 100 Backstroke, 1:10.24.

The Fighting Tigers will go on holiday for the Thanksgiving Break this week before traveling to Delhi, NY for a meet at Delhi Tech on Saturday December 3rd.
