HOLSTEAD NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Megan Holstead, Laurens, NY, Laurens High School, a member of the women’s swimming & diving program has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The senior distance swimmer led the Fighting Tigers to place third in a field of eight teams at the SUNY Delhi Fall Invitational hosted by SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY on Saturday with a team score of 181 points. Holstead met NJCAA National qualifying standards in three individual events: finishing third in the 1650 Freestyle in a time of 23:55.61, third in the 500 Freestyle in 6:57.14 and fourth in the 200 Freestyle in a time of 2:35.19.

Cobleskill will conclude the 2007 portion of their schedule on Saturday December 8th when they travel to Herkimer, NY for the General Invitational beginning at 1:00 PM.
