FIGHTING TIGER WOMEN’S SWIMMING 13TH AT 2008 NJCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The SUNY Cobleskill women’s swimming & diving program posted a team score of 10 points to place thirteenth overall at the 2008 NJCAA National Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce, FL last week.

The Fighting Tigers were led by senior Megan Holstead, Laurens, NY, Laurens High School, who earned a pair of NJCAA Coaches Association All-American Awards at the meet by placing twelfth in the 1650 Meter Freestyle in a time of 22:42.59 and twelfth in the 100 Meter Breaststroke in a time of 1:28.82. Holstead also placed seventeenth for Cobleskill in the 500 Meter Freestyle with a time of 6:35.31 in the event.
