HOLSTEAD NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Megan Holstead, Laurens, NY, Laurens High School, a member of the women’s swimming & diving program has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

Holstead led the Fighting Tigers to a thirteenth place team finish at the 2008 NJCAA Swimming & Diving Women’s National Championships hosted by Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce, FL last week. The talented senior earned a pair of NJCAA Coaches Association All-American Awards at the meet accomplishing the feat by placing twelfth in the 1650 Meter Freestyle in a time of 22:42.59 and twelfth in the 100 Meter Breaststroke in a time of 1:28.82.
