DUFEL NAMED SUNY COBLESKILL MEN’S SWIM TEAM MOST VALUABLE

Senior Justin Dufel, Fonda, NY, Fonda-Fultonville High School, has been named the SUNY Cobleskill men’s swimming & diving program’s Most Valuable Swimmer for the 2003-04 season. Dufel was presented the award at the college’s annual Athletic Awards Convocation by Fighting Tiger Head Coach Mary Irving.

Dufel was a NJCAA Coaches Association All-American at the 2004 NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships placing fifth in the 200 Meter Breaststroke, fifth in the 100 Meter Breaststroke and eighth in the 200 Meter Individual Medley. He was also a member of the Fighting Tiger relay team that earned NJCAA Coaches Association All-American in three events.

He finishes his Cobleskill career holding Mountain Valley Conference records in nine separate events.
