HARBERS NAMED SUNY COBLESKILL MEN’S SWIMMING 2004-05 MVP

Senior Rick Harbers, Amsterdam, NY, Amsterdam High School, has been named the SUNY Cobleskill men’s swimming & diving program’s Most-Valuable-Swimmer for the 2004-05 season. Harbers was presented his award by Fighting Tiger Head Coach Mary Irving at the college’s annual Athletic Awards Convocation.

The Amsterdam High School alumnus was a four-time All-Mountain Valley Conference honoree during the season capturing league individual titles in the 100 Meter Freestyle and the 100 Meter Breaststroke. Harbers closes his career as an eight-time All-MVC selection, four-time conference champion and a four-time NJCAA Division III All-American.

Led by Harbers the Fighting Tigers captured their third consecutive Mountain Valley Conference Championship.
