FIGHTING TIGER SOFTBALL LOSES DOUBLEHEADER TO MVCC

The SUNY Cobleskill women’s softball team dropped a Mountain Valley Conference doubleheader to visiting Mohawk Valley Community College from Utica, NY yesterday at Fighting Tiger Field by scores of 13-2 and 10-1. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers’ overall record to 4-14 on the year with a 3-7 mark versus conference competition.

Senior leftfielder Leah Trombley, Chazy, NY, Northeast Clinton High School, singled home both of Cobleskill’s runs in the first game with two outs in the fourth inning as part of a 1-for-3 effort at the plate. In the second game freshman infielder Kaitlyn Myhre, Greenville, NY, Greenville High School, went 1-for-1 with the team’s lone RBI.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Thursday May 3rd when they will play host to the Timberwolves of Adirondack Community College beginning at 4:30 PM at Fighting Tiger Field.
