FIGHTING TIGER SOFTBALL DROPS DOUBLEHEADER TO HVCC

The SUNY Cobleskill women’s softball team dropped a pair of Mountain Valley Conference games to Hudson Valley Community College from Troy, NY yesterday by scores of 13-0 and 22-2. The contests were played inside, at a neutral site due to recent weather conditions, at the Glens Falls Sportsdome in Glens Falls, NY. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers’ overall record to 0-6 on the season with a 0-4 mark in conference action.

Senior right fielder Sharon Fitzgerald, Greenville, NY, Greenville High School, provided some offensive punch for the Fighting Tigers going 1-for-2 in the opener then going 2-for-2 in the second game with the team’s first home run of the season.
