FIGHTING TIGER SOFTBALL DROPS TWINBILL TO HVCC IN MOUNTAIN VALLEY CONFERENCE PLAY

The SUNY Cobleskill women’s softball team dropped a Mountain Valley Conference doubleheader to visiting Hudson Valley Community College at Fighting Tiger Park on Monday by scores of 11-0 and 10-1. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers overall record to 2-4 on the season with a 2-2 record versus league opponents.

The Fighting Tigers scored their lone run of the day in the second inning of game two when freshman center fielder Elizabeth Goyette, Ferrisburg, VT, Vergennes Union High School, singled, stole second base then scored on a two-out single by senior catcher Jillian Kotula, Cobleskill, NY, Cobleskill-Richmondville High School. Goyette finished the contest 1-for-3 with a run scored while Kotula was 1-for-2 in the game with an RBI.

Cobleskill will next be in action when they travel to Johnstown, NY to meet Fulton-Montgomery Community College for a Mountain Valley Conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM
