  • What Are The Requirements for Admissions?

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must graduate from a fully accredited and approved high school, receive a certificate of completion from a home school program which is in compliance with the laws of the student's home state, or earn a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). The Individualized Education Program (IEP) diploma is not the equivalent of a high school diploma.

Candidates are encouraged to include in their high school programs as many college preparatory courses as possible. Applicants with a strong academic background have an advantage over those who have completed a less rigorous high school program. While applications are welcome at any time, some programs may fill early in the admissions year.

Applicants are required to submit:
1. A completed State University of New York application with a non-refundable application fee to the SUNY Application Services Center.

2. An official high school transcript or GED test scores and official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended to the Office of Admissions.

Baccalaureate applicants are required to submit official scores reports from the College Entrance Examination Board Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Testing (ACT) exam to the Office of Admissions.

All applicants are encouraged to attend an Open House program. The Admissions Committee will notify applicants by letter of its admissions decision on a rolling basis. Notification for fall applicants will begin on November 1.

To confirm admission to the College, applicants are required to submit an admissions deposit of $50 within 30 days of acceptance. Deposits are refundable until May 1 for the fall semester or November 1 for the spring semester; or within 30 days of notification of acceptance, whichever is later. Students planning to live on campus will also need to submit a $55 housing deposit. The housing deposit is refundable prior to the entry semester.

Students will be required to complete a Wellness Center Health Form form prior to the beginning of their first semester.
