SUNY Cobleskill Sustainability Dinner Series Begins Nov 29

SUNY Cobleskill’s American Heritage Restaurant will host a dinner speaker series entitled, “It’s not as Easy as it Seems- Impediments to Sustainability,” beginning Thursday, November 29 at 6 p.m.   The speaker for the November 29 dinner will be Richard Ball of Schoharie Valley Farms, home of the Carrot Barn.  The farm, which produces seasonal selections of fruits, vegetables, and plants as well as year-round baked goods, was recently featured in the New York Times.  Ball will be speaking on issues and concerns of distribution.

The three course dinner will feature locally produced foods, and is limited to 30 attendees, so reservations are recommended by calling 518-255-5425.  The cost is $25 per person.  American Heritage Restaurant is located in the college’s Prentice Hall and serves as a learning lab for students in SUNY Cobleskill’s Culinary Arts programs.
