Associate in Applied Science Degree

Degree Requirements
To fulfill requirements for the Associate in Applied Science degree (A.A.S.), the student in Early Childhood must complete a minimum of 66 academic credits with an overall GPA of not less than 2.00, and “C” grades or better in all required major field courses.
Additionally, Early Childhood A.A.S. majors must complete all prerequisite freshman level courses, achieving a 2.00 average, before they can be assigned to practicums ECHD 231, ECHD 232, ECHD 233 and ECHD 234. An overall grade point of 2.00 or better in both major field and liberal arts and sciences courses is the prerequisite for all four practicum assignments.
Credits must be distributed as follows: 38 in the major field (see below), 22 in prescribed areas of liberal arts and sciences, and 6 in general electives.
