The Recreation and Sports Area Management curriculum prepares students to manage recreational facilities in both the private and public sectors. Professional opportunities in this diverse field include careers supervising and maintaining ski areas, parks, private campsites, nature centers, golf courses, athletic complexes, public grounds and similar facilities. Graduates of the program receive an Associate in Applied Science degree.
Outstanding FacilitiesThe campus recreational facilities include ski slopes, athletic fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, golf greens and a chalet-style recreation lodge. These facilities serve as our laboratories. In addition, nearby public recreational areas in the Adirondak and Catskill Mountains provide additional facilities for students pursuing careers in Recreation and Sports Area Management.
