We are one of a few colleges and universities across the country where students can earn an associate degree while studying in a bachelor degree program.
If you are a prospective student, a current student, a parent, an alumnus or employer, you will find our business programs to be unique and different in the following ways:
- Our faculty consists of professors with advanced degrees and professional experience whose primary focus is on student success. Their strength lies in their ability to enrich classroom learning with realistic examples from their experiences.
- Being a college of technology, we emphasize the importance of applied, hands-on education where students apply theory and concepts in a practical learning environment. The capstone of our bachelor degree programs is a twelve credit-hour, fifteen week, paid on-the-job internship. Most of our four-year graduates accept a job offer from their internship employer while others pursue advanced graduate degrees.
- All of our program outcomes are based on externally defined expectations. In addition to the expected major field knowledge and skill sets, students are actively engaged in learning experiences that involve oral and written communication, critical thinking and collaborative work throughout their program of study. As a result, students are well prepared to enter the workforce or pursue advanced study.
- The primary responsibility of our faculty is in the classroom. Faculty take great pride in their teaching and the accomplishments of students. Outside of the classroom, faculty serve as advisors to students until they graduate or change their major.
- We are a small college with small class sizes, where personal relationships between faculty, staff and students are an integral part of student success.
