Writing & Study Skills Center

Mission & Philosophy

The Writing & Study Skills Center at C.A.S.E. supports the college’s mission of experiential learning through one-on-one peer tutoring sessions.  The tutors offer assistance at any stage of the writing process and in all disciplines, as well as with study skills and organization.  Trained tutors work to promote student success by handing the pencil to the tutee and talking out suggestions, strategies and ideas.  We offer:

 

  • tools for organizing ideas to begin an assignment
  • assistance in editing/revising work
  • suggestions for how to strengthen writing skills.
  • tips and strategies for studying and organizing college assignments.

 

All services are free and unlimited.
