College in the High School
The College in High School Program (CIHS) is a dual enrollment enrichment partnership between SUNY Cobleskill and area secondary schools. Seniors (or juniors with advanced standing) are able to earn college credit at reduced tuition while concurrently attending high school. Courses are college-level experiences taught by qualified high school faculty (as adjunct professors at SUNY) during the regular school day and following the regular high school academic calendar within the high school setting.
Tuition
Tuition for SUNY Cobleskill College in High School courses is $50.00 per credit hour, ($100 for a two-credit course; $150 for three credits and $200 for four credits). This is a reduced rate from the $220.00 per credit hour for students who take classes on campus. Tuition is due upon registration with the respective high school. Receipts for tuition payment should be provided by the home school.
Students participating in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program may be eligible for reduced tuition.
Grades and Transcripts
At the conclusion of each course, the instructor will submit all student final grades to the respective high school guidance department where the grade will appear on the student's high school report card and high school transcript. The instructor will also submit the final grades to the Registrar's Office at SUNY Cobleskill.
Student copies of official college transcripts may be obtained through submitting a written request to the Registrar's Office at SUNY Cobleskill. The official request form can be found on the Registrar's Office web page.
