Medical School Agreements
Early Assurance Program
This Medical School Early Assurance Program addresses the shortage of physicians in rural communities of New York State. There is evidence that people who grow up in rural communities or who trained there will later return to set up medical practice in a rural setting. This program will also attempt to provide a more diverse student population for entry into physician training programs.
Students enrolled in this program will study two years at SUNY Cobleskill, two years at either Siena College or Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and four years at Upstate Medical University.
This agreement allows for students to earn their bachelor degree at SUNY Cobleskill and apply to Ross Medical School, provided they meet the requirements.
