Applying to Cobleskill
Application Process
- Obtain an application form from any high school guidance office or write: Director of Admissions, SUNY Cobleskill, Cobleskill, New York 12043-1701. Students can also apply online at www.suny.edu/student.
- Submit a completed application with a non-refundable fee to: SUNY ASC, as listed on the application: State University of New York, Application Services Center, P.O. Box 22007, State University Plaza, Albany, New York 12201-2007. For questions, call 800-342-3811.
- Candidates are expected to complete a campus visit. Open House programs are scheduled by the Office of Admissions on selected Saturdays throughout the academic year. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 800-295-8988 or 518-255-5525.
- Students unable to attend one of the Open House programs can schedule a campus visit Monday through Friday. For an appointment, contact the Office of Admissions at the above telephone number. It is recommended that appointments be made two weeks prior to the campus visit.
Apply By Mail
SUNY applications for admission can be found in any NYS high school guidance office or you can request one from us.
Submit a completed application, your official high school transcript or GED test scores, and a $40 application fee.
The application is waived for students applying under the Educational Opportunity Program or for those who qualify for a State University of New York Application Fee Waiver. Reference letters from people who know you well (teachers, employers, counselors, etc.) are strongly encouraged, as well as a letter from you telling us about your academic performance, special interests, extracurricular activities and strong points. SAT or ACT scores are required if you are applying for a bachelor degree program; otherwise they are optional, but recommended. These should be sent directly to the Office of Admissions.
