This website will offer a step-by-step guide to help you prepare for classes this fall. In the months leading up to your first semester, you will receive information from a variety of on-campus offices, so be sure to check your mailbox regularly.

Join the Fall 2014 incoming Freshman Group and start getting to know your classmates!



pawFile for financial aid.

 Financial Award letters will start being mailed the first week in March.

 Follow these instructions on accepting your financial aid



pawActivate your SUNY Cobleskill email account to:

1. Register for housing

Housing information is mailed to students who plan to live on campus and have paid the advanced housing deposit. Students must login with their Cobleskill email and complete the online housing survey by June 1 for best consideration of their preferences. The housing survey will be available in March. 


2. Submit immunization records to the Wellness Center beginning in March.



pawLog onto Banner Web to:

1. Pay your tuition and room deposit

2. View your financial aid award (Beginning in March)

3. Complete the Student Code of Conduct affirmation.


pawAthletes, be sure to fill out an Athletic Recruitment Form so that the Department of Sport and Exercise knows you’re interested in playing a sport.



After May 1st

paw Begin searching for jobs posted exclusively for SUNY Cobleskill students. 


paw Check out the First Year Experience Program webpage for valuable first year student resources and information about the Foundation for College Success (FFCS 101) course.




pawSend the Admissions Office your:

1. Final High School Transcript

2. Advanced Placement Score Reports

3. Any other documents that indicate credits you have earned. 

* When in doubt, contact admissions to see if any items are needed. 


paw If applicable, document your disability with the AccessABILITY office. and learn how to register for accommodations.


paw  If needed, start a monthly payment plan


paw Order your textbooks through our Barnes & Noble campus bookstore.


paw Merits Program Students 

Contact the Merits Program coordinator to ensure that everything is set for the fall semester. 


paw Begin looking through the list of SUNY Cobleskill Clubs.





pawCheck your residence hall assignment.

In July your hall assignment will be available as well as other important information about your roommate, including their name and phone number. You will also receive information about arrival to campus, residence hall check-in, and things you may want to bring for your room.


paw Purchase a parking pass and register your vehicle.


paw The first college bill will be sent from the Student Accounts Office to your SUNY Cobleskill email account.


paw Complete the web-based check-in process.

In order to prevent your schedule from being dropped for the upcoming semester, you MUST complete the banner web check in process. When viewing your schedule you may notice room assignments missing for classes being held in the new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources. This is a new building and room numbers will be posted to your schedule later this summer. Please be sure to double check your schedule on banner web before the start of the semester for updated room assignments.
