Livestock Concentration
The Animal Science–Livestock concentration is designed to offer students advanced skills in the area of general livestock production. This concentration focuses on meat animal production, management and marketing. Students entering the program will build on a strong background from a two-year program and previous applied experiences. Advanced course offerings will improve skills in a wide variety of meat animals such as cattle, hogs, sheep and goats. The program is for students interested in a career in the meat industry.
Degree Requirements
To fulfill the requirements for the Bachelor of Technology degree in Animal Science, the candidate in the Animal Science–Livestock Concentration must complete a minimum of 44 credit hours of major field requirements, 20 credit hours of general electives, 26 credit hours of technical electives, and 36 credit hours of liberal arts and science courses.
