  • Overview

Agricultural Business encompasses a group of carefully selected, top quality individuals who possess unique characteristics and experiences, combined with the ability to communicate effectively with people in all stages of life. The make-up of this dynamic group of leaders crosses traditional lines of education, business, and inter-divisional parameters, leading to a broad based, business oriented approach to all Agricultural Business course offerings and activities.

"Agricultural business" or "agribusiness" describes the total agricultural industry in the United States. Business activity in agriculture ranges from providing supplies and services to farmers through the actual on-farm production of food and fiber, to the processing and distribution of those products to every person in the United States and many people in foreign countries. Food, which is undoubtedly the most basic necessity, is an extremely important industry, offering a tremendous variety of rewarding careers to qualified agribusiness people.
