Skateboarding, Rollerblading and Bicycling Policy

All persons using skateboards, rollerblades and bicycles are expected to use the equipment in a manner which is appropriate, considerate of others and of College property. Persons who use the equipment recklessly or without care of others and College property will be confronted, documented, and addressed through the College’s judicial system.

Persons are prohibited from skateboarding, rollerblading or bike riding on the academic quad. In addition, persons are prohibited from engaging in tricks (sliding, jumps, etc.) anywhere on College grounds which involve College property (i.e. stairs, steps, railings, benches, entrances to buildings). Furthermore, the use of bicycles, rollerblades and skateboards inside campus buildings is strictly prohibited.

The campus should be maintained as a safe environment for everyone. Reckless behavior which endangers others and property should not be undertaken. It should be noted that the use of these items, in itself, involves an assumption of personal risk.

Persons who use them are personally liable for their actions.
