Over the past year more than 130 Plant Science Alumni have contributed over $20,000 to assist the Department of Plant Science by purchasing a granite paver.
These funds helped match the $25,000 McWethy Family Foundation gift and were used to purchase a new John Deere 4-wheel-drive tractor for the Nursery Management program, a new Department van, and a new Cushman Truckster for the Turfgrass Management program. Current fundraising efforts are focusing on upgrading laboratory equipment.
The faculty, staff, and students of the Plant Science Department sincerely appreciate the support our alumni have provided. We invite you to be a part of the new walkway in front of Hodder Hall... and we promise that we'll never take you for granite.
