Meet the Staff

Maureen Maillard

Maureen Maillard, Executive Director

I grew up in Stamford, NY.  I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Green Mountain College and was a pre-school teacher for thirteen years. I have been in the Early Childhood Field for over twenty years. I started as the Executive Director of The Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center in January 2010. I am currently raising two boys of my own that are five and nine years old. Prior to working at the CCCCC I worked at child care centers in Rutland, Vermont, for IBM in Beaverton Oregon and a program in Boston. I am very proud of the program at the Center and welcome anyone to come and have a tour!

Beth Denver

Beth Dever, Administrative Manager

I received my Associates in Business Administration in 1978 from Hudson Valley Community College. Prior to my employment at Cobleskill Campus child Care Center I was Fiscal Officer at Equinox in Albany. I started at the Center in 1990 as a part time bookkeeper. As the Center grew and expanded I took on more roles until in 2005 I was promoted to Administrative Manager. In addition to my financial responsibilities I take care of enrollment, human resources implementation, scheduling and assist our Director in overseeing compliance with OCFS regulations. This is a wonderful environment to work in…none of my previous employers included daily hugs as a benefit.

I have lived in Schoharie County since 1984 with my husband Don. We have three adult children. I enjoy working with the best child care providers in the world!

Sabrina McLasky

Sabrina McLasky, Office Assistant

I am currently working in the office here at the Campus Child Care Center and helping out in classrooms when needed. I have worked here for a little over two years and I have loved every second of it. I have lived in this area my whole life, and enjoy the sense of community here at the center. I am still in the process of furthering my education with whatever avenue that may be.  I am also a certified Recovery Coach and work with SCCASA. I feel truly lucky and blessed to be able to work with all of the wonderful women here at our child care center. I find there is no greater reward then to be able to at any moment of the day walk out of the office and into a classroom full of laughter from children and remember what life is really all about.

Infants

Julia Teller

Julia Teller

I am a Head Teacher in the Infant Room here at Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center. I live in Palatine Bridge, New York with my husband, and have been married for two years. I am originally from Holland, Michigan where I grew up. I moved to New York about four years ago due to my husband’s work.

Working with young children has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I have had the opportunity to grow and learn through working in a few different childcare centers and also by attending many early childhood trainings.  I have been working with children since I was 14 years old, my mother runs a childcare out of her home and that is where I learned my love of nurturing and caring for young children, and knew that I wanted to continue my education in Early Childhood.  I am a transfer student from Muskegon Community College where I began my Associates Degree in Early Childhood. I then moved to New York and transferred to SUNY Cobleskill to finish my Associates Degree. Once I have completed my Associates Degree I plan to continue on in order to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree, with a major in Early Childhood. I also have training in Baby Massage, Baby Signs, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS, CPR and First Aid, Magda Gerber, Reggio and many other areas of Early Childhood.

Ashley Talarico

Ashley Talarico

I am twenty one years old. I come from a big family which includes six sisters and two brothers, who I love dearly. I have lived in Schoharie County my whole life and I love it here. That is why in 2010 I chose SUNY Cobleskill as the college I wanted to attend, the college where I could go and accomplish my dreams of becoming a teacher. In May 2013, I did just that, I completed my internship at the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center (CCCCC) and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. Upon receiving that degree I was offered a full time preschool teaching position here at the CCCCC. I accepted the job immediately and I have been a team member at this site for almost nine months now, and I must include that I love it. I am so happy and honored to be given the privilege to be a part of the children’s life’s who attend the center; they really know how to put a smile on my face and I love putting a smile on theirs. A teacher and a child will always have a relationship, we do not only help the children grow, but also they help us the teachers to grow. I will continue to grow as a professional teacher at the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center.

I was born on Long Island, NY and moved to Sharon Springs when I was 5. I Attended Sharon Springs central School from k-12 and graduated. I then went to Herkimer County Community College where I got my A.A. degree in general studies and while I was at this college is when I discovered what degree I truly wanted to do. I then attended Sage College of Albany and graduated in 2007 with a BFA in Photography. For a short time I was a part of the Sharon Springs after school program, and realized I loved working with children and wanted to continue that path and was able to join the great team at the Cobleskill Campus Childcare Center where I have been for the past 5 years. I have been in every class room and I now am the kitchen manager and have been for the last year and a half. I love what I do and am glad to be a part of this team. In my spare time I do continue to work on my photography an hope one day that will grow to something more.
