Why did you choose SUNY Cobleskill?

I chose SUNY Cobleskill because I was looking for the best plant science program in New York state. I picked Cobleskill because it is smaller than other schools. My friend said it's more personable and you get to know all of your professors.

What is your major and class year?

I'm a third year transfer student in the Plant Science B.S. program.

What clubs or organizations are you involved in?

I attend the meetings that the Plant Science Club holds, I'm a Night Host and I am a member of Hall Council in Pearson Hall.

What is the best meal you've had on campus and where is your favorite place to eat?

I like the burritos in Prentice Cafe. You can mix it up every time with the different meat options (chicken, beef or pork) and rice options (brown, white or yellow), and you always get nachos. I also really liked the risotto I had in Champlin Hall.

Why do you like living on campus?

I like that I can take a nap whenever I want. At my community college, I used to try to nap in the library, but having a bed is great. It's also nice not to have to drive to class.

What is your floor like and what types of amenities does your building offer?

The RAs in my building are great, I like them all a lot, and there is a really nice atmosphere because there is always someone to talk to.  I'm very comfortable where I live and people are pretty quiet at night.

Why do you like your RA?

She's a very personable person and I know I can always go to her. She's really welcoming and friendly and when I see her outside of the building she always says hello.

Anything else you'd like to tell people about SUNY Cobleskill?

I can't really speak for other majors, but for my program, Cobleskill is very good at what they do. I'm learning a lot, like, more than I thought. We also have a really high rate of employment after graduation and a lot of opportunities through alumni.
