Edward Asselin

Edward is a career employee of SUNY Cobleskill. Originally from southern New England and later from the greater Capital District area of New York State, Edward attended SUNY Plattsburgh where he earned his BS degree and the University at Albany where he earned his MS degree. As Director of Residential Life, Edward has supervisory responsibility for all aspects of the campus' housing program. As Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, he is management supervisor for Judicial Affairs, Veteran Affairs, and the Wellness Center (Counseling, Health Care and Health Education).

 

Mary Conner

Mary is currently the Assistant Director of Residential Life and the Residence Hall Director of Vroman Hall. Mary is originally from Lake George, New York. Mary attended the State University of New York at Oneonta for her BS in English. She received her MS from the University at Albany in Higher Education Administration. Mary enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and Netflixing!

 

Christopher Stanonis

Chris is currently the Director of Pearson Hall located in the Quad, as well as one of the Assistant Directors of Residential Life. Previously he served as the Residence Hall Director of Porter Hall, as well as the Complex Coordinator of Davis/Parsons. Originally from Franklin, PA, Chris attended Edinboro University of PA and graduated with a BA in Anthropology in 1998. After additional studies at Lock Haven University of PA, Chris enrolled and was accepted into the Masters of Counseling program at Edinboro University of PA, where he concentrated on Student Personnel Services. He obtained his Master's Degree in 2011. Chris's outside interests include backpacking, hunting, archery, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, reading and playing guitar.

 

Will Kelly

Assistant Director of Residential Life

Will is currently Director of Fake Hall, but has also had experiences working in Vroman and Draper Hall as a Residence Hall Director, and was also the Complex Coordinator for Fake/Ten-Eyck. Will graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from SUNY Oneonta and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the University at Albany. Will is, not so secretly, obsessed with Reality Competition shows and is an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.

 

Kim Howe

Administrative Assistant

Kim has worked in the Residential Life Office since the summer of 2009. She graduated from the Secretarial Science program at SUNY Cobleskill when computers were the size of a house and has worked on campus for nearly 27 years. When not at her desk, she spends time as a historical interpreter of mid-19th century domestic arts at The Farmers' Museum, enjoying the outdoors and traveling to historic places and national parks.

 

Matthew LaLonde

Director of Judicial and Veteran Affairs

Matthew has been working in Student Affairs at SUNY Cobleskill for over 10 years. Originally from Camden, NY, Matthew is an alum of several SUNY Colleges holding a A.S., B.S. and M.S. Prior to working at SUNY Cobleskill, Matthew served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years and after being honorably discharged, served as a teacher in the New York State Public Education System. Matthew is very involved in matters relating to Student Veteran needs and provides leadership for all matters relating to student conduct. Matthew engages in various athletic pursuits, is an avid fisherman and significantly enjoys being a parent.

 

Brandon K. Aldous

Director of Alumni Commons Townhomes and Suites

Brandon is currently serving as the Director of Alumni Commons Townhomes and Suites, our brand new residential facility here on campus. Brandon has also served as the Assistant Complex Coordinator of Davis/Parsons. Brandon is an Alum of SUNY Cobleskill, and has his Bachelors of Technology Degree in Agricultural Business. As a student, Brandon served as a Resident Assistant in Pearson Hall, as well as the Senior Resident Assistant for the same building. He plans to obtain his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University at Albany. Brandon is originally from Canton, New York and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and taking mini-vacations (long weekends) to Lake George with his family.

 

Syd Bloom

Residence Hall Director, Dix Hall

Syd is a seasoned Residence Hall Director. She has a Master's in Student Personnel and is certified in Guidance Counseling. Dix Hall has been her home for over 20 years. She loves working where she lives. Creating an environment for her residents that is supportive, educationally centered and nurturing is an important personal goal. Syd is a world traveler, enjoys jazz and foreign films.

 

Caitlyn Carroll

Residence Hall Director, Wieting Hall

Caitlyn is Residence Hall Director in Wieting Hall. She is originally from Levittown, New York. Caitlyn graduated from SUNY Cobleskill’s Culinary Arts and Business Administration programs. Caitlyn is currently pursuing her Masters at UAlbany in Educational Admissions and Policy Studies. Caitlyn enjoys doing kickboxing, watching movies or simply spending time with family and friends. 

 

Abbey Perkins

Residence Hall Director, Draper Hall

Originally from Binghamton, NY, Abbey obtained her B.A. in English and Anthropology from SUNY Potsdam in 2008. Abbey completed her M.S. in Student Affairs Administration at Binghamton University in 2010. Abbey began working at SUNY Cobleskill in 2010 as an Assistant Complex Coordinator. Currently, Abbey advises the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Ally Union (LGBTAU) student organization and provides Safe Zone trainings on campus. Abbey enjoys reading, films, arts & crafts, singing, and playing music.

 

Kimberly Chong

Residence Hall Director, Davis Hall

Kimberly Chong is the Residence Hall Director of Davis Hall. She is originally from Brunei Darussalam and later Staten Island, New York . Kimberly graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the State University of New York at Oneonta. Her experiences involve nutrition education and counseling. Her hobbies include personal financing, couponing and learning more about the growing field of nutrition by continuous research.  She loves to exercise and views physical fitness as a serious priority. She can probably talk to you for hours on end about health, food, and Starbucks.

 

Meg Johnson

Residence Hall Director, Ten-Eyck Hall

Meg is the Residence Hall Director of Ten Eyck Hall. Originally from Smithtown NY, Meg graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health from SUNY Cortland. Meg is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the University at Albany. Meg is hugely competitive, loves sports,  and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

Edward Dale Ano

Residence Hall Director, Parsons Hall

Edward, whom goes by his middle name Dale, is the Residence Hall Director of Parsons Hall. Originally from Oneida, New York, Dale spent a year living abroad in Tendoshi, Yamagataken, Japan after graduating high school.  When he arrived back from his year abroad he attended SUNY Cortland where he played Rugby and graduated with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in International Studies.  In the near future Dale is seeking to pursue his Masters in either Museum Studies or Higher Education.  Dale’s outside interests include traveling/backpacking, rugby, football, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends.
