SUNY EMS
Mission Statement
The mission of SUNY EMS is to provide pre-hospital emergency care in accordance with New York State Health Department.
This group of dedicated, volunteer students manages a basic life support first response agency. The team is invested in providing training and support to their members in order to maintain optimal skills and certifications. SUNY EMS also provides public information and education on prevention of accidents, injuries and emergency aid.
Administrative Structure
SUNY EMS is part of the Student Affairs division. The team is supervised by The Wellness Center and University Police departments.
Membership
Members of SUNY EMS must be currently enrolled students and have good standing within the college community. Potential members must complete an application and interview process. Prior CPR/AED certification is not required.

Hours of Operation
SUNY EMS is in service:
- Between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hrs a day on weekends
- SUNY EMS also provides emergency medical coverage as needed for special events and sports on campus
