Recreation Area and Ski Center
is nestled at the foot of West Mountain The pond, streams and many acres of open and wooded hillside offer the college community a chance to explore and enjoy this area. The Lodge is a short walk from the college campus, north of Route 10 on Nassau Avenue.
The Recreation Area is a unique addition to SUNY Cobleskill throughout the year, offering:
• Overnight camping, 4 lean-tos, 1 cabin
• Hiking Trails
• Camping
• Cross-Country and downhill ski trails, ice-skating, snowshoeing
• Snow boarding
• Volleyball
• Picnic areas
• Pond for canoeing, ice-skating
• Free equipment rental when available with valid CobyCard
• The Ski Lodge Express: transportation provided during ski season
• A fireplace and wood stove to warm yourself
• Breathtaking views every season
• A wonderful facility for parties, weddings, meetings, dinners, etc.
• Vending Machines
During the Ski Season the Recreation Lodge offers challenging jobs.
Some positions available are:
• Ski lift operators
• Binding mechanics
• Slope maintenance workers
• Ski patrollers
• Snow machine equipment operators
• Clerks and more

Open Skiing:
Jan - Mar: Starting January 26, 2008 – Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 5:00pm through March 2, 2008
Wintertime activities include snowboarding, cross-country and downhill skiing, and snow-shoeing. Lift tickets and rentals are free to students with a valid CobyCard.
