The new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) building will integrate the three major academic programs of Plant Sciences, Fisheries & Wildlife, and Animal Sciences within a single facility. The exposure of the academic collections and processes create a synergy between the separate departments, as well as engage the local community.  The new facility will not only allow for an improved academic environment, but also reduce maintenance costs and energy costs due to the consolidation of program, improved building enclosure and more efficient building systems.

Carriage House Being Moved
On January 30 and 31, the historic carriage house on campus was lifted off its original foundation and driven up Schoharie Parkway North and relocated as part of the development of the college's new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources. Getting Around Campus

The two entrances on the upper level to Knapp Hall may need to be closed at various times this week and possible early next week (depending on the weather) to allow for installation of handrails for the exterior stairs and ramps. To maintain two means of egress from the building, only one of the entrances will be closed at any one time.

 

All other entrances and exits are currently open for all buildings, except around the Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources building construction site.
