Add/Drop
Courses may be added/dropped only during the period so designated and announced by the registrar. Add/Drop forms with required signatures must be turned in to the Registrar’s Office. A $20 fee will be charged for each added lecture, lab, and testing section received by the Registrar’s Office after the defined period has ended. Classes may not be dropped, only withdrawn from, after the designated Add/Drop period.
Academic Transcript Charges
One official academic transcript will be mailed to a prospective employer or academic institution without charge for currently enrolled students. Thereafter, a fee of $5 will be charged for each additional transcript. The $5 fee must accompany the request for the transcript. A transcript will not be issued if the student has any financial obligation to the College.
Fax Policy: Registrar’s Office
1. The fax machine to be utilized will be the College’s main fax located in the Telecommunications Office.
2. Fax copies received will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Upon receipt, staff will review the cover sheet and confirm the accuracy of the items on the cover sheet with the pages received for completeness and authenticity. If necessary, the sender listed on the cover sheet will be contacted for resubmission or confirmation of information received.
3. Fax documents received will be sent to appropriate person.
4. Fax documents received will be considered the same as correspondence received through the mail. There is no priority given to documents received via fax.
5. Transcripts received via fax are considered unofficial. Should a student require credits to be applied to his or her degree at SUNY Cobleskill, an official transcript must be sent in addition to the fax copy. Requests for documents to be faxed by SUNY Cobleskill will be honored at 2:00 p.m. each business day.

7. A fee of $5 will be charged for documents faxed from SUNY Cobleskill. Payment must be made in advance. Fax fees are payable to the Student Accounts office.
8. Only plain paper (not safety paper) will be faxed.
Housing Costs
The total room, meal and CobyCash cost for the College year varies from $8,250-$11,330. (estimate) depending on room occupancy and meal plan choice.
Residence On Campus
Ten residence halls for eighteen hundred full-time students are provided on campus. Room rents have been scheduled by the New York State Dormitory Authority and by the College. The College maintains the right to require students to live on campus.
Residence Off Campus
Contract is payable directly to the homeowner.
Board (Meal Plan)
The Cobleskill Auxiliary Services (CAS) offers a variety of meal plans for students residing both on campus and off campus. There are 19 meals available each week—three meals per day Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday. Meal Plans can be used in any CAS dining facility on campus. Weekly meal plans run from Monday breakfast to Sunday dinner.
Students residing on campus must purchase either:
• 19 Meal Plan—any 19 meals per week with $225 CobyCash.
• 17 Meal Plan—any 17 meals per week with $225 CobyCash.
• 14 Meal Plan—any 14 meals per week with $225 CobyCash.
• 10 Meal Plan—any 10 meals per week with $225 CobyCash.
Students residing off campus may purchase any of the above meal plans or:
• 5 Meal Plan—any 5 meals per week with $100 CobyCash.
• P200 Plan—no meals, $200 in CobyCash.
• B350 Plan—no meals, $350 in CobyCash.
• Other point plans are available.
CobyCash may be used in all CAS dining areas, College Bookstore and on-line vending. Additional CobyCash may be purchased in any amounts at any time by contacting the CobyCard Office (518) 255-5886.
All meal plan charges are subject to change.
Textbook Costs
Textbook costs depend on the requirements of the student’s particular program and the availability of used books. In general, the range is between $700 and $900 per year for textbooks and supplies.
Field Trip Costs
Field trips are required in some courses. Estimated costs of such trips are listed in the respective course descriptions in the back of this catalog.
Telephone Costs
All students will be charged a communications fee for:
• access to telephone equipment in several campus locations
• full voice mail authorization from home or from campus
• easy access to emergency messages while on campus
• ability for faculty to leave voice mail for whole class or for individual students
