Spring Reader Series to be held at SUNY Cobleskill
A reader’s series with the theme “Into the Wilderness” will be held at SUNY Cobleskill’s Van Wagenen Library beginning January 15. The series will discuss four books throughout the spring semester. All sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in the TV Studio of Van Wagenen Library. Copies of the books are available in Van Wagenen Library.
The series begins Tuesday, January 15, with a discussion on Bill Bryson’s “A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail.” Robert Sullivan’s “The Meadowlands: Wilderness Adventures on the Edge of a City” will be discussed on February 19. Edward Abbey’s “The Monkey Wrench Gang” will be discussed on March 18. The series concludes with a discussion on Mike Davis’s “Dead Cities” on April 15.
