SUNY Cobleskill awards Student Ambassador Scholarships to students who demonstrate academic excellence, show evidence of student leadership and have good interpersonal skills. A personal interview is required. Students normally have a 92 or higher high school average and an 1100 SAT composite score or a 23 ACT composite score.
The Student Ambassador Scholarship is a one-year renewable scholarship, which is valued at $2,000 per year. The amount of the scholarship for four-year Ambassadors is $8,000; and for two-year Ambassadors, it is $4,000.
The Student Ambassador Scholarship is offered to first-time College students who agree to participate in the Office of Admission's Student Ambassador Program and live in on-campus housing.
Renewal is based on the student maintaining a 3.25 or higher College GPA and participating in the Student Ambassador Program for a minimum of four (4) hours each week. Student Ambassadors are also expected to participate in the Alumni Office's tele-pledge campaign.
