Coby's Hosts Slow Ride Regional Traveling Art Show

February 14, 2011

Work created by amazing hand-picked local artists will be on display at Coby’s on Feb. 16 beginning at 7 p.m. Coby’s, the entrepreneurial venture of SUNY Cobleskill in conjunction with Cobleskill Auxiliary Services (CAS), is located at 549 Main Street in Cobleskill.

The Slow Ride Regional Traveling Art Show features displays for one month at various locations to be viewed and voted on by the public. At the end of each month, the pieces move to the next location, giving patrons another opportunity to vote for their favorite artist.

After five months, the artist with the most votes will be named Slow Ride Artist of the Year and will be invited to an exhibit at the famous Arkell Art Museum in Canajoharie, N.Y.

In addition to Coby’s, the exhibits are visiting the Community Library in Cobleskill, Middleburgh’s Middle Village Pasta and Grill and the Middleburgh Library, and The Abbot’s Table in Schoharie.

All art work on the Slow Ride Regional Traveling Art Show is for sale through the Middleburgh Artisan Gallery (518-827-8131). For more information about the exhibit, visit
