Home Students
A. Begin at the Registrar's Office – Warner Hall 117
B. Signatures required are student's Advisor, Department Chairperson and Registrar.
C. Grades of cross-registered courses are treated in the same manner as though the courses were taken at SUNY Cobleskill.
D. The course and grade will appear on and be calculated in the student's SUNY Cobleskill record.
Other Consortium
A. Begin at the Registrar's office. Students must present a completed Cross-Registration form signed by the home school advisor, Department Chairperson and home school Registrar.
B. Students must register in person during the first week of add/drop.
C. Signature of the Home Campus Registrar is required prior to registration.
D. Transcripts/grades are sent to the Registrar (or designated official) at the home school. Grades may be given by telephone at the home school if necessary with a paper copy to follow.
NOTE: Independent study and tutorial courses are closed to cross-registrants. Pre-requisites for courses must be met where necessary and courses with special permission must be approved prior to registering for such courses.
General
A. Student must be a full time matriculated student at home campus.
B. Course must be one that is NOT AVAILABLE to student at home campus.
C. Student is responsible for attendance and academic requirements of course even if home and host calendars do not coincide.
D. Student is responsible for notifying the registrars on BOTH campuses if they withdraw from a course(s). Failure to do so will result in an “F” grade from the host institution.
E. Signature on the Cross-Registration form indicates student agreement to abide by all regulations imposed by the host institution (parking, attendance, library, etc.).
F. Home campus students have priority for all courses at the College, so popular courses may be closed to cross-registrants because of space limitations.
G. Mini-semester, January term, and Summer Session are not covered by cross-registration agreements.
H. All fees in excess of tuition are responsibility of the student, i.e., lab fees, computer fees, field trips, etc.
