SUNY Cobleskill's Saturday College is a premier degree program offered exclusively on Saturdays. Saturday College responds to the contemporary needs of adult students while upholding the academic quality, values, and expectations of the State University of New York.

Your Time
If you have found weekday degree programs inaccessible, or the pace of traditional evening programs impossible to mesh with career and family responsibilities, you owe it to yourself and to your future to inquire about SUNY Cobleskill's Saturday College. This program is ideal if you have limited time and cannot attend regularly scheduled college classes.

A Unique Schedule
Four eight-week Saturday terms are scheduled annually to provide an accelerated academic calendar.

Schedule

Fall term
August 25 to October 13 and
October 20 to December 15; no classes on November 24

Spring term
January 19 to March 8 and
March 22 to May 10; no classes on March 15

Classes are scheduled on Saturday's during two time slots; 8am to 12noon and 1pm to 5 or 6pm depending on the term.

Unique Timeframes and Methods of Instruction
Adult students bring a high level of maturity, dedication, and motivation to the classroom. As a result, classes are accelerated and meet fewer hours on campus. It is possible to complete an AAS degree in two and one-half years, and perhaps less if you have transferable credits. If your family and/or employment demands are heavy, a longer time frame is possible to complete the program if desired. The program is designed to be flexible.

The Unique Ability to Earn Advanced Standing
Our academic advisors will evaluate your educational background. Prior to course work, competencies, or credit by examination may shorten the time necessary to complete your degree. Transfer credits will be evaluated based on their relevance to your educational goals. A total of 33 credits for associate degree programs and 66 credits for bachelor degree programs may be considered from another college or university to be applied toward your degree at Cobleskill.

Unique Academic Support
The College is committed to your success as a student and will provide the academic support necessary.

Saturday College will offer students the opportunity to attend support sessions (at no extra cost). For several hours each week, tutors will be available to answer questions and help you work on your assignments. We will also make rooms available for group study where you may find support and encouragement from each other.

Optional Weekend Room and Meals
If you are traveling a distance, you may choose to stay on campus Friday and/or Saturday night in a new residence hall area designed for use by Saturday College students. Other campus facilities will be available, including the dining hall and study areas. See tuition and housing rate schedule for details.
