University Police
The University Police Department is another arm of the Student Affairs family, providing Law Enforcement-Related services to the campus. The Department is recognized by the State as a Police Department and all members of the department are certified Police Officers.
The department has a strong commitment to the “Community Policing” philosophy. It attempts to involve the College community in helping to identify and solve law enforcement-related issues on campus. This is accomplished by offering a wide variety of programs and services to the campus community.
The Department is composed of nine uniformed Officer, a Director and one Clerical staff member. Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and patrol on foot, bicycle and cars. The University Police Department can be contacted at 518-255-5317.
Motor Vehicles
Students, including first-year students are permitted to have vehicles on campus. All vehicles must be registered with the University Police Department. Information about vehicle registration fees and parking regulations are sent to registered students. This information is also available by contacting the University Police Department at 518-255-5317.
Annual Crime Report -Crime Awareness and Campus Security - Sexual Assault Prevention
SUNY Cobleskill's Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by SUNY Cobleskill; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other matters.
