SUNY Cobleskill’s Alignment with
Chancellor Johnson’s Four Themes

SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson has set four main themes for SUNY: Innovation and entrepreneurship, individualized education, sustainability, and partnerships. We are charting our initiatives and achievements as they align with the four themes she has outlined.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Setting a goal for SUNY to double its collective output of cross-disciplinary research, scholarly work, entrepreneurship, and outreach, and expanding the opportunities we offer our students for research in emerging disciplines.

Individualized Education: Making the case for students to come to SUNY, and establishing SUNY as the leader in the higher education landscape, by helping each student chart a course through the classroom by reaffirming a commitment to helping students with different backgrounds and resources.

Sustainability: Our shared responsibility to preserve civilization, both on human and physical levels, and via collaboration and partnerships.

Partnerships: Fostering alliances with industry, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and international organizations by building a hybrid model, system-wide endowment and continuing to share our resources with those with whom we partner.
